Graduation Ceremony

• Every adult school student who successfully completed either their High School Diploma or GED will be invited to participate in the annual graduation ceremony that takes place at the end of the Spring term for the current academic year. Please contact the School Counselor if you did not receive an invitation to participate in the corresponding Spring ceremony.  

GED Certificates

Individuals who have successfully completed all 4 sections of the GED exam will receive their official certificate in the mail at the address on their GED.com account. During graduation, students will receive a certificate of recognition from the Hayward Adult School.

High School Diploma Pick Up

• High School Diplomas will be distributed to ceremony participants immediately following the graduation. Those who did not participate, will pick up diplomas during posted office hours beginning the week after the graduation ceremony.  In order to obtain your diploma, you must present a valid picture ID  and provide your signature.  Please note, once the original diploma is provided, students may request an official transcript to verify graduation (fee applicable).
