Independent Study
At HAS, we pride ourselves on providing our independent studies students an academic experience unlike the traditional classroom setting.
The enrollment process is simple.
- Watch the Orientation video and start the enrollment process! Link to Orientation PowerPoint.
- Complete the interest form here
- Create an account for school. Click here to sign in/create your account.
After you have completed the interest form, you will be contacted by a staff member for next steps.
The program provides courses midday through evening hours.
Here, students meet individually, once per week, with their teacher for a 30 minute session.
During the 1:1 meetings, the teacher and the student may review online assignments and discuss upcoming assignments for the next week. On average, students can complete 5 units per week.
Make sure to provide your transcript to the counselor (tsmith2@husd.k12.ca.us). Please note you It will be about a week to review and connect with staff for next steps.
